David B. Cole, Senior Vice President
David joined Beardsley, Brown & Bassett in 1979 and has 27 years of experience in insurance and related consulting services. He specializes in employee benefit plan design, benefit cost management, funding analysis, negotiated labor contracts, executive supplemental benefits, 401(k) plans, business continuation agreements, wealth accumulation and preservation, and municipal consulting services. David holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He is also a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers. David has been a member of almost every Connecticut insurance carrier's Broker Advisory Council and Sales, Marketing and Product Development groups over the past 20 years. He is active in the nonprofit community as a trustee of several organizations.

Susan Carlson, Vice President
Susan has been with Beardsley, Brown & Bassett for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience in the employee benefits area and currently manages the Life and Employee Benefits division at BB&B. In addition to her managerial responsibilities, Susan concentrates on working with customers on a day to day basis to meet their ongoing servicing needs. She is responsible for new customer sales and designs custom employee benefits programs. Susan is currently working toward her Chartered Life Underwriter designation.

Kirsten Bergstrom, Assistant Vice President
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Kirsten has been in the insurance industry for more than 10 years. Kirsten held various underwriting and sales positions with Aetna Health Plans until 1997. Since then she has been with Beardsely, Brown & Bassett, providing comprehensive corporate benefit consulting which includes programs for all aspects of group insurance coverage, business continuation and retirement planning. Kirsten is a registered representative with the National Association of Securities Dealers. She is also involved in various activities within the community.

Kurtis Denison, Assistant Vice President
Kurtis joined RC Knox & Company in 1997 with over a dozen years experience in the group benefits field;including sales, service and TPA consulting with a business and marketing educational background. Since joining the agency as an Account Representative, Kurtis graduated into the position of Account Executive and ultimately into his current role as Assistant Vice President. Kurtis' objectives include employee benefit sales and consulting while overseeing the success and staff of the small group unit of the Life and Employee Benefit Division at RC Knox & Company. Kurtis serves on several insurer advisory councils, which has enabled him to be on the cutting edge of product design, pricing and delivery. Further, Kurtis is very active in the charitable community including serving as trustee for local non-profit organizations.
