Susan M. Hutchins, Vice President
Sue graduated from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management. She began her insurance career as an Account Executive with Metropolitan Insurance Companies.
In 1984, Sue joined The Edstrom Agency, a general agency of State Mutual Companies as their brokerage manager handling their small business owners products. For the next four years, she was responsible for product and client marketing, broker training, and implementing sales strategies for several hundred area brokers.
After relocating to Connecticut in 1988, Sue joined RC Knox & Company as the Franchise/Program Division Coordinator. Over the next six years, she was responsible for a sales and service team and developing new franchise and associated programs across the country.
In June of 1994, Sue joined the Personal Lines/Sponsored Marketing Division of RC Knox & Company as the Divisional Supervisor/Sales Manager. Under her direction, a highly qualified sales and service team is responsible for both retail and sponsored sales. In March of 1998 she was promoted to Assistant Vice President, and in January of 2000 she was promoted to Vice President of all Personal Lines and Sponsored Marketing. Sue?s responsibilities include overseeing the sales/service operations, employee development, maintaining quality control standards, and the promotion of mass marketing programs.
She is currently working toward her CPCU (Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter) designation. She is a graduate of the Life Underwriters Training Council and has participated in numerous insurance education programs and seminars. She serves on several committees and is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Connecticut.
